Thomas James Lodato (thomas.lodato@gatech.edu) is a Ph.D. candidate in Digital Media at Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Public Design Workshop (a studio led by Carl DiSalvo) which focuses on participatory design and design research related to sociopolitical matters-of-concern within Atlanta, GA (USA). Of particular concern are issues around sustainability, agriculture, food systems, and city government. Thomas is also a member of the Intel Science and Technology Center for Social Computing where he conducts research on contemporary design and development practitioners.

Daria Loi (BArch; Ph.D) (daria.a.loi@intel.com) is a User Experience designer and researcher, with a passion for participatory design, ethnographic & practice-based inquiry, and collaborative practice. She currently holds a position as UX Innovation Manager at Intel Corporation. In the past Daria has worked as architect in Italy; Sr Research Fellow at RMIT University; and Sr Researcher at the Interactive Information Institute as well as Intel Corporation. Daria has conducted research and presented her work in Australia, Brazil, China, Canada, Europe, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and the USA. She is advisor and reviewer for a number of journals, institutes and conferences and serves as Chair for the Fetzer Institute’s Advisory Board for the Engineering Professions.
